How do i get my curl to stay?

i have naturally curly hair, but when i curl my hair with a curling iron it doesnt stay. I have tried multiple types. I use hairspray but i dont like to because it usually makes it all sticky and frizzy. how can i get a nice bouncy curl thats sleek and stays in? Any kinds of hairspray? thank you!
