How can i plug in my internet into my computer after using the same cable for ps3?

i plugged my Ethernet cai plugged my e-Ethernet cable into my ps3 so i can play online, now i plugged my ethernet cable back into my ble into my ps3 so i can play online, now i plugged my Ethernet cable back into my lap top to browse the web but it doesn't want to work i am not sure why because the mo-tum is working perfectly fine i play online on my ps3 perfectly but once i plug it into my lap top it doesn't wanna work, before i plugged the Ethernet in my ps3 my laptop was running perfectly fine with internet
