Installed BBK CAI on 2010 v6 automatic Mustang... need help!?
This morning I installed a BBK cold air intake on my 2010 v6 automatic mustang. After install I drove around a small amount and noticed the check engine light had turned on. I looked up how to fix this and unplugged the battery to reset the computer. Afterwards the check engine light went off as I had hoped however, I have noticed a significant drop in my mpg and also the sound of air flowing underneath the hood. Is this drop in mpg normal? and is this air flow just the CAI working or could it be an air leak? I'm relatively new to modifications so all assistance is appreciated. Also I expect someone may say I should get a tune. I've already ordered a tuner and am just waiting for it to arrive. Though I am interested in knowing how it will help the CAI run better if anyone has any information. Thanks!
