Is it okay to use my mud mask that is stored in #7 plastic?

This question may seem a little wacky but I am a bit obsessed with plastics. I'm all nervous and just wondering since I've read that plastic bottle and containers that have #7 on the bottom of them may contain BPA. Even though I am not consuming the product, I am using it on my skin and it has been sitting in the plastic container for weeks, it's also moist. Is it absorbing the chemicals from the container? When I use it, it is seeping into my pores, so is the effect still the same? Are the chemicals from the plastic still affecting me the same way they would if I were to eat or drink from plastic with #7? Thanks!
