I need help with my crush? :]?

I've known a funny, sweet, adorable boy since kindergarten, and now we are nearly 16. He isn't exactly my bestfriend, but were real close. I fell in love with him while we were helping out with a bible school for kids, we taught the same class. I'm the shyest girl alive, and it's hard for me to flirt, or tell him my feelings, but I know I won't see him much the rest of the summer if I don't do something. He flirts with me, and I know it. He was playing footsies with me under the table while the children were napping, he complimented my hair, sits by me nearly EVERYWHERE, laughs at everything I say, etc. So, I think he might feel the same way, but maybe he's just being friendly? I'm so confused. Tomorrow's the farewell carnival, it will have a bouncy house, and such, waterballoons, you know. Any advice? Any at all? :)
